If you haven’t purchased anything by John Reese yet, you are in for a real treat with Traffic Secrets 2.0, especially if you haven’t done too much in the way of traffic building yet. But, this will still be valuable even if you do have some experience.
Before I go into a little more detail, let me say just a few things first. Regarding "gurus" in the internet marketing world, John Reese will always be in this group, and deservedly so. Of course, Traffic Secrets (the original version in 2004) was the first known information product to have a $1 million dollar day (in gross revenue on its launch day.) Beyond that though, John has a very elegant way of passing on high quality information, in a way that blends strategically together.
He first became known for guiding people to grow successful e-bay businesses, but before that developed what may have been the first auto-responder system. Avoiding getting pegged in any one area, he developed general traffic strategy workshops that were highly acclaimed. That led to Traffic Secrets.
From John I learned the concept of thinking strategically about your online business, and combining elements together to work synergistically. For instance, using pay per click FIRST to test the profitability of keywords, optimize your landing pages, etc. THEN using that information to focus your SEO efforts around proven phrases.
As the best concrete example that I can provide for this, found in Traffic Secrets 2.0, are his invaluable "blueprints". These are step by step action guides that build on one another. I personally love "to do" lists, and having these for every step, from getting set up to doing market research, pay per click testing strategies, and on to more than 10 traffic generation strategies, has been priceless.
My wife was looking into getting into internet marketing at one time, and raved about this course. It CAN be a little overwhelming if you are new and try to go too fast, but you can take all the time you need and review as needed. Along with the step by step blueprints, you get the 12 DVD set and a course manual, which is great if you are a visual or auditory learner. (I myself just plugged in and shut everything else off, going through the program in 2 days, at about 10-12 hours per day. It was intense, but I loved it. My concept of internet marketing and online business has never been the same since.)
And being on John’s e-mail list is not like being on some other guru’s lists, where you simply get hammered by other offers. John always has a great perspective to add if he does have an offer, but gives alot of great content away too. He is one of the 5 or so people who’s e-mails I read immediately.
